The Expanse: A Telltale Series Takes Flight
The Expanse: A Telltale Series is officially here! The first episode, titled 'Archer's Paradox', launched, marking a triumphant return for Telltale, a leading narrative game developer and publisher known for hits like The Wolf Among Us, Batman: The Telltale Series, and The Walking Dead. This is the company's first new game since its reformation in 2019.
Fans won't have to wait long for the next installment, as the following four episodes will be released bi-weekly, allowing players to continue their journey through this gripping narrative. The game is available for purchase today as a Standard Edition ($39.99 USD) and a Deluxe Edition ($44.99 USD) for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, and for PC on the Epic Games Store.
Telltale CEO Jamie Ottilie expressed the team's excitement and sense of responsibility in launching their first new game in four years. "We felt a great responsibility to honor the legacy – through great storytelling with compelling characters, and difficult but meaningful choices," said Ottilie. "We’ve also worked to raise expectations from a Telltale game with more action, bigger environments and new mechanics like Zero-G."
The Expanse: A Telltale Series is set prior to the events of Alcon Television Group’s award-winning television series, which streams on Amazon Prime Video and iTunes. Players take on the role of Camina Drummer, portrayed by actress Cara Gee. The game promises to deliver the same level of immersive storytelling and character development that fans have come to expect from Telltale's catalogue.
