Adventure game sound… uh, game
Let’s continue the game-
This is the music we left off with:
Knights
Still no idea. Can we have a hint, please?
This game steals more classical music (this time a piece whose name I do not know)
Here
I have never played this game, which is part of a famous series. This game is infamous and I’m guessing killed the series for a while.
King’s Quest 8?
Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale
Simon the Sorcerer 3 (based only on the hints; I haven’t played it)?
I maintain that StS3 was a better game than the two first ones. It’s not exactly pretty, and it’s not a masterpiece, but I enjoyed it.
You can play my game Frasse and the Peas of Kejick for free! (AG review here.)
You are correct, Kurufinwe.
The first tune is apparently Sordid’s theme (according to the file name).
Thanks a lot Shany for making sure this thread didn’t stay buried in the forum switch.
And here’s the new file.
Maybe you should rename that file
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.
Roberta Williams
The file name might not be completely accurate. Or maybe it is. Make a guess and find out!
No idea. Maybe Perry Rhodan?
Sorry no. It’s from a well-known game (a bit older than Perry Rhodan), but it only plays during an Easter egg (and so it may be quite different in style from the rest of the soundtrack).
Clearly this is proving too hard. All right, more music from the game!
The game is Gabriel Knight 3, which of course I recognized after listening to the second track (it’s the music played when Gabriel uses the dumbwaiters in the hotel) since I never heard the first one.
And that’s because shamefully I have never checked out the easter eggs in the game…
You’re right!
The first bit was from the Easter egg with the bartender at Rennes-les-Bains. I would have linked to a video, but I can’t seem to find one on the Internet.
Anyway, your turn.
After long consideration, I’ve decided to come up with this.
