What are the things you find annoying in games generally?

For me it’s having no master volume control. Sure, give me individual controls for voice, music and sound effects but when I want to turn down the volume I don’t want to adjust all of them individually!

You already have a master volume control in Windows, perhaps the game developers are counting on that.
It’s much worse for me that some games don’t have separate volume controls that you mentioned.

Well sure, but when’s the last game you played that didn’t have separate volume controls? I can’t remember any.

I’m weird, I like to play old adventure games.
And many of them don’t even have subtitles, which is the worst flaw an adventure game can have (at least as far as I am concerned).

On that, my friend, we are agreed!

I hate it when there’s no option to save the game manually. Just autosave sucks for several reasons. I might want to replay some part because I liked it or didn’t understand what was going on or want to check I got the info right or want to replay a puzzle.

Give me autosave AND manual saves!

I can take care of myself. I’ve been doing it for centuries. Snow

Time limits of any kind but particularly regarding game length.

One good example being Star Control II. 500 star systems and thousands of planets to explore. But if you try, the time limit will run out in a few short years and you’ll lose the game. Grr!

Never stopped me from enjoying that particular (and brilliantly funny) game but it still gets a Grr award.  Wink
