Dead Drop – A Carol Reed Mystery
Erik finds himself ensnared in a web of intrigue when an anonymous client recruits him for a seemingly innocuous task: to collect trivial information about the government agency he works for. Initially, Erik is captivated by his covert assignment and appreciates the extra income it brings.
However, as the tasks grow increasingly complex and veer into the realm of illegality, Erik comes to a stark realization—he’s in too deep to simply walk away. In a bid to extricate himself from this precarious situation, he reaches out to Carol. Together, they aim to not only terminate Erik’s involvement but also to uncover the true agenda of his enigmatic client.
