Cyan opens up Firmament with new game announcement
As anyone who's ever played the legendary adventure studio's Myst series or Obduction knows, Cyan never makes anything easy. So of course the announcement of their next game would arrive with only an enticing teaser trailer and just a few cryptic story details.
What we don't know about Firmanent far outweighs what we do, but what we can tell you for now is that it's a "steampunk adventure" in which you are the last "thread of hope" upon which the eponymous "grand firmament" now hangs. What's worse is that the one person who could have mentored you personally in the trials to come is no longer alive.
We'll let the trailer do the rest for a game that promises "a resplendent, magical, journey – a monumental voyage through four diverse and curious realms, working in concert with an ever-present, clockwork companion, and the support and instruction of a long-dead, ethereal mentor."
Yup, sounds like a Cyan game, all right! Stay tuned for further details, including release platforms and target launch date when such information become available. You can also monitor the game's progress through the official website.
